Hi Auskickers,

How nice on Sunday to have a day with no rain, cold, but no rain.

We’re seeing some really great progress with the skills which is good to see. Lane Cove has a reputation for producing skillful teams so I want to keep that going by building a really strong base of skills that the kids can rely on when they start playing games. Getting the basic skills of kicking, handballing and marking set at this age is vital and breaking bad habits is much easier now!

The Toyota ‘Good for Footy’ raffle is up and going, it has been a great fundraiser for the club, last year we received $7000 or so from it. Every dollar spent on tickets goes straight through to the club, so share the link around, jump on and buy some tickets, you never know, you might win a new car! The lights on Steve Chisholm Oval (grass oval at Blackman) are due to be upgraded towards the end of this year, allowing more training times and evening games to be held, which will help the Auskick kids as they progress into the Junior part of the club.
