After our disappointing effort against the Suns at our first Friday evening game, we had a solid week on the training track working on the areas that let us down.
The boys trained extremely hard and had plenty of fun hitting the tackling bag.

Today’s game we got back to playing the brand of football that we have been striving for. Pressuring the opposition, employing tackles that stick and sharing the ball around and this resulted in a great team win. Our field positioning and structure was spot on and didn?t allow the opposition any easy movement between their lines.

Bhavya got the team going dominating in the ruck and around the ground.Bhavya had he?s best game for the club and was awarded with Player of the match.
Jack Mathews took a great mark and went back and kicked a team lifting goal. Liam McIntosh tackled and pressured the opposition in to many mistakes
Itay was once again an elusive forward and took some wonderful marks taking the front position.Itay was awarded best forward for the match
Will McKenney (Captain for the day) & Charlie Clifford linked up extremely well in the midfield, and when they weren?t going for runs themselves they were bringing their team mates into the game using handball and passing by foot, both boys dominated today.

Jesse Drinkwater and Caleb Heng were fantastic in the midfield, they ran, tackled hard and continually drove the ball forward.Jesse Drinkwater was awarded Best midfielder.
Charlie Owens did all the tough yards, breaking through numerous tackles and taking on the opposition.Charlie also kicked a wonderful running goal
Damon Wiese beautiful left foot kicking is such a weapon and gains us yardage every game. Damon is having a fantastic year to date and consistently plays well
Charlie Moten is so reliable no matter which line he is playing in.Charlie rarely gets beaten one on one.
Thanks to Adam Hood  and Henry Groocoe for filling in and helping out Team Dangerfield. Both boys had great games
The most enjoyable part of this weeks game was actually after the game when the U10s all got together for a BBQ and catch up
It was a great opportunity for the boys to have a play around together for the first time and a nice catch up for the parents Thanks so much to Mel and her team of parents who put it all together.

Hopefully we can organise additional catchups throughout the year.
-A reminder that there is training on Wednesday evenings on the top field for anyone who can?t make Thursdays or just wants an additional session
