Hopefully all the Dad’s enjoyed the rest of your Father’s Day, and no injuries were picked up in the games in the morning!
Some great efforts, although the feedback I received was that the Dad’s were a bit lazy in chasing back into defence in the game against the Giant’s, so that’s something we need to work on….
Couple of housekeeping points:
-The AFL 9’s competition is starting up at Blackman Park in October, the Lane Cove Cats have a strong presence in the comp, and will be entering multiple teams this season (starts in October and goes through until December), games are on a Thursday evening, if anyone is keen to play, please let me know, it’s a great way to stay active, in a non-contact, mixed version of AFL.
– This week is the last official week of Auskick, so please make an effort to come along, for those kids who haven’t got awards yet, I do know who they are, so they may well get one this week….
– There are also trophies that will be handed out, so if you can, please stick around for the end of the session
– We’ll be down at Blackman Park on the 20th for the return of the guernsey’s and shorts. If you can bring them back, washed, that would be great. We’ll have the balls out, but there won’t be any structured exercises
Finally, let’s enjoy the last week, I wasn’t sure we’d make it to the end of the season, so I think we should be pretty thankful that we’ve got as much of a full season in as we could.
Go Tigers! (I couldn’t bring myself to write Go Cats when Geelong are playing Richmond this Friday…)
