What a glorious morning it was this morning, a bit cool and crispy to start, but once we were running around in the sun, it was perfect! Some great skills on display, both in the drills and games, and thanks again for the parents jumping in and helping out.
We’re at week 3 so starting to feel like normal, we’ll still focus on building the skill base for the kids over the next few weeks before branching out.
The U8’s comp will be starting up in a few weeks as well, currently we’ve got numbers for approx 1 1/2 teams, which obviously is hard to balance! If you are keen for your daughter/son to play U8’s please let me know and we may be able to get to 2 teams. If you want to have a chat about what this involves, please give me a call and I can run you through things. I’ve got a trial game lined up for the U8’s against Forest Lions next Sunday at Blackman Park, so that will be a chance for them to have a try.
Quick special thanks to Astrid and Brad last week for coming down and helping on the BBQ and coordinator role even though their kids saw the weather and didn’t come, great effort!
As mentioned this morning, the BBQ is a key fundraiser for the club, so if I ask you to help out, please let me know either. I’ve got a roster drawn up (relatively randomly assigned) so will be scrolling through and asking a group of parents each week. It will only be once that you need to do it, so if you can help that would be greatly appreciated.
As always, if you’ve got any queries or questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
