The Lane Cove Cats Junior AFL Club (LCCJAC) Annual General Meeting is being held 7.00 pm Wednesday 23 October 2019 at Longueville Sporting Club (The Diddy).

Nominations for committee positions are now being sought and to assist in the orderly proceeding of the meeting are recommended to be lodged with secretary@lanecovecats.com by 10PM Monday 21 October  2019. Verbal nominations at the meeting will also be required.

Any Member wanting more information about the roles and responsibilities of any of these positions are asked to contact Daniel Hynes at president@lanecovecats.com.

One hour, or the entire season. Any help is appreicated

We encourage members from all age groups to consider committee involvement. Introduction of new talent to the committee ensures the Club continues to be relevant to its current membership, brings new ideas and allows prudent succession planning and knowledge transfer as longer serving members retire.

And it doesn’t matter what amount of time you can offer. It can be as little as an hour on one weekend, or multiple hours each week over the entire season.

You can also be creative in your role on the committee. Have you considered holding a position jointly with a friend/s. For example, two or three people could look after the marketing/communications role.

In 2020, we are looking for a couple of key appointments. We are hoping to have a permanent canteen in place next year, and would love to have a Canteen Manager to make sure its stocked with food prior to each weekend of games.

We also have some key vacancies to fill. We are looking for someone (ie an accountant) to help manage the books over the season. This year the club setup the accounting package Zero, which should make things relatively easy to manage.

The Vice-President role is also vacant at this stage. This is a role can be what ever the person who fills it wants. But in essence, it supports the President and works across the entire club.

    6. Sponsorship Officer
    7. Marketing Coordinator (newsletter, social media)
    8. BBQ/Canteen Manager
    9. Up to 3 general committee member(s)

Following the conclusion of the AGM a club committee dinner will be held at 8.00 pm.
