Todays match was against cross town rivals Willoughby Wildcats and our kids did us proud!  In just 2 short weeks they have developed game skills and are working well together as a team.

Isla was the team captain today and did a fantastic job – one of the things she kept on telling her team was to talk more and I have to agree that they weren’t as vocal this week as they were last week, something they can work on for our game next week against Manly.

Play of the day has to go to the forwards to secure Saskia a goal.  Great teamwork from Owen with a handball to the open Saskia before the super-boot kicked the goal over Owen’s head!

Special mention to our new team member Luke who slotted into the team nicely and picked up the Best Goal award for his efforts – welcome to the team Luke!

8 of our players also got an opportunity to play on the Willoughby team as they were short on players so well done to all the kids for stepping up and taking their turn – I think Lane Cove might have kicked most of the Willoughby goals for the day…

Finally, well done to Coach Alison for bringing some organisation and structure to game day!  From the pre-game warm up routine, to the players white board and the team rotations, massive effort that will help us through the rest of the season.

Team Captain – Isla

Best Goal – Luke

Best Mark – Owen

Go Cats!
