We are hope you are looking forward to the 2018 season as much as we are.
We plan to build on another successful season for the club. Last year juniors membership was up 12% to 101 across 6 teams. This also included our first ever youth girls team. Auskick members were up 35% to 127. It was the biggest group of Auskicker to ever play at LCC. We also joined the first ever U8 competition in North Shore, which was a resounding success.
This year we are planning to increase teams to approximately 11, including new teams in U10 and U15 youth girls divisions. We are also strengthening our relationship with nearby club North Ryde Dockers. The two clubs will work together to help field teams when numbers are low. This will mean any child who registers should be guaranteed a team to play in.
In terms of events at the club, we had planning another successful Sports Legends Lunch. The proposed date is 20 July, so keep your diaries free.
We also plan to build to make some changes to our annual get together, the Soiree. This will remain a more casual event,, with less focus on fundraising and more on fun. But this year we plan to adjust the timing slightly and ramp up other activities such as making the sports quiz a bigger component
Late last year we also made some changes to our committee. While I am returning as President, we have a revamped executive committee. Jane Zahra, who many of you would of seen around the club in various roles in 2017, is coming on board as the Vice President. The club will no doubt benefit from her great commitment and can-do attitude.
Also new to the executive committee is Michael Jools, who will fill the Secretarial role. Returning for another year is Morgan Hunter as Treasurer, while Brian Gillard is stepping back slightly to focus just on registrations.
The important football related roles will be filled by two great men. Peter Beck will return as Auskick Coordinator. Peter grew the program to reach a record h high 128 children, including the most girls in Sydney North region. And Nick Brumley will be the Director of Coaching for the Juniors in 2018.
We have also tried to appoint various committee members to small but important roles. These include:

- Social Media Coordinator: Victoria Davies
- Youth Girls Coordinator: Greg Byrne
- Director of Sponsorship: Matt Cunneen
- General Committee roles: Amanda Webb, Jon Ladmore, Gavin Bartier, Paul Schofield & Denis Fitzgerald
