Swans visit Lane Cove schools

Students at a selection of Lane Cove schools were lucky enough to be visited by some Sydney Swans players this week. Superstar Gary Rohan was joined by George Hewitt (played 24 games at half-forward last year) and rookie Alex Johnson.

The atmosphere was electric as as both students and teacher welcomed the players into their schools. After a brief introduction, a few of the students (including some lucky Lane Cove Cats) were lucky enough to be asked onto stage to showcase their skills with the Sydney Swans.

Once finished, there was plenty of time for Q&A. However there was stunned silence from the Swans when one children said “this isn’t a question its more of a statement – you lost the grand final last year’
